The Track is looking amazing 🤩 thanks to the hard work of Mark Sleigh, and his team, including Joel and Adam and other volunteers who have worked so hard over the last 10 days, piggy backing their proper jobs with time at the track. Track works are still on going so if anyone else is able to get involved today and on Monday or Tuesday just rock up.
The new jump line has been added on the fly, which will be a great addition to our facilities and help with jump progression and skills development. Thanks to Conrad Westwood for his scanning skills at short notice, to ensure we were safe to proceed with the works.
This will see the end to a massive outlay for the club over the last few months, new drainage at the bottom of the start hill, new tarmac, new barrels on the start gate, a new Sqorz loop soon to be added, a full resurface and a new jump line!!
We have been busy and all this work would not have been possible without the large events we have put on raising funds at the club over the last few years as we get no funding from Derby City Council.
So if you are wondering why you should get involved in helping at The Brits, and are hesitant about putting your name down, it’s so we can maintain and keep our amazing track and facilities looking tip top for the local and wider BMX racing community.
